Photos of some wild flora, taken in Kankumbi, near Belagavi.
These litchens grow during the rains and harden in winter.
During August, whole area is filled with wild flowers.
White Costus grows wildly along road sides as well as under shades of trees where water is available in abundance. Yellow variety of this flower is supposed to have anti diabetic properties. Chewing two or three leaves in the morning is supposed to help control diabetics. However, there is no clinical evidence we can quote.
